Red Bull (Fan Review!)

Red Bull Energy Drink is ubiquitous, and is a stalwart of the energy drink industry.  Sold almost everywhere cold beverages can be purchased, I decided it was finally time for me to grab a can and see just what this beverage was all about.  So I purchased a chilled can and set out to do a detailed review.  An all to familiar claim emblazoned the back of the can and tells me that Red Bull improves performance during times of stress and strain, improves endurance, increases concentration, and increases reaction speed.  I would like to point out that exercise accomplish the same thing, and for free.  The ingredients list provides an idea of what can be expected on the inside of the can.  Copious amounts of various types of sugar and B complex vitamins seem to be the primary ingredients.

So I crack the chilled can.  The smell is strange, but not offensive.  The smell seems to be most similar to citrus or pomegranate.  So I take a gulp.  The taste isn't bad at all.  It does taste unique, and mirrors the smell, citrusy. (if that is not a word, it should be.)  It goes down smooth and doesn't leave a strong after taste.  The flavor wears thin the more I drink, but to be honest I think that is because I don't drink soda on a regular basis.

Why does it work so well on a plane... we may never know.
