Reed's Ginger Beer
Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 5:32PM While I was picking up my standard soda's for review this week at HEB, I decided to try some of Reeds Ginger Ale. When I got home, much to my chagrin, I had picked up Ginger Beer. Ginger Beer, as both Mike and I describe it, is like Ginger Ale + Fire. I figured that Reeds might be a bit different, because of the excellent products Reeds puts out.
After getting my first taste I was pleasantly surprised. It tasted like a Ginger Ale, and Ginger Snap, combination with a refreshing value to it. As I continued with the bottle the slight hint of fire began to invade my palate. I got to about halfway down the bottle until it wasn't refreshing for me anymore... then I had to stop. I knew where this road lead, and I wasn't going to go down it.
Verdict: Buy a Bottle!

I like how you describe Ginger Beer, "Ginger Ale + Fire". I'll have to use that.
This may be my favorite soda of all time. I love the burn, and I'm not big on spicy food.
What you think of Virgil's Root Beer is what I think of this..., and Virgil's.
I enjoy your reviews even if I don't agree with you all the time.
It gives incite to sodas that I haven't tried.
I'm bringing in some different sodas in to my store and would have never got Pig Iron Cola if not for you.
Keep up the good work.
Howdy,
Glad to hear it! I'm sure my review technique could be improved upon but I'm glad you like what you're reading. What kind of store do you run?
Thanks,

Some say its a gas station cuz we have gas.
But over the last five years I've been bringing in new beers and wines.
We have about 700 beers to choose from and 250 wine.
In doing that we've run across sodas made by brewers, like Abita and St. Arnold.
We brought in Maine Root not to long ago and I just placed an order to a soda company
that has 70 vintage style pure sugar sodas to choose from.
I picked about 20 and used your site to help me decide on some.
I'll bring in more, but I need to make room first.
Thanks.
